Google acquired LabPixies, a developer of mini-programs for the Web known as widgets from Israel. This acquisition was later known as the first acquisition made in Israel by Google. LabPixies itself has actually made widgets for iGoogle and also widgets for Google’s Android mobile phone operating system and the iPhone. The widgets included calendars, news-feeds, to-do lists, news, weather reports, quick access to e-mail boxes and games.
